The receiving file will sometimes contain the code to display a �thumbnail� image of the drawing, but will not contain all the code to draw the image.
Linking causes the receiving file to keep a �bookmark� or link connecting the original file to the receiving file. Embedding a file causes the receiving file to contain a copy of all the code to display the image, table, or other material.
